About Us

Built by architect Brian Judge, Judge + Associates Architects & Planners was established in 1996 in Vail, Colorado.

Focused on large-scale residential design, J+A began with resort architecture, offering comprehensive architectural, planning, and interior design services. With 25 years of service in the architecture industry, the firm has grown to include professionals encompassing four divisions: Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Land Planning.

The way in which homes and buildings are designed affects the environment and consequently the community. About a third of carbon emissions can be attributed to architecture. Because of this, a large responsibility falls upon the hands of architects.

At J+A, we pride ourselves on environmental awareness. Our design philosophy centers on the belief that good design enables a community and sustains its economic vitality. What matters to us is to be able to give our clients designs that not only reflect their style preferences but also leave minimal impact on the environment.

Having our projects LEED Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, we promote sustainable green design throughout the industry. With considerations of climate, topography, and natural resources, J+A’s award-winning designs are timeless and classic, inspired by cost-effective indigenous materials.

J+A maintains state-of-the-art computer information technology infrastructure, J+A utilizes Autodesk AutoCAD products to produce accurate design and contract documentation in a timely and budget oriented manner. J +A operates Autodesk 3D Studio and ESRI ArcGIS to convey design ideas through 3D design visualization for a complete client solution for communication, collaboration and presentation.
