Thistle and Rose Residence

This unique home is a series of simple agrarian forms connected and united by gardens, aspen grooves and sun filled corridors. The home focuses on creating a series of experience vs. a series of rooms. The dramatic stone and glass structure grounds the main living and recreation rooms while framing the rugged mountain views to the south. The smaller bedroom wings use simple wood detailing and character to create intimate settings that either embraces the morning sun, the aspen knoll, or the days last golden rays. A library is perched on top of the stair tower to create and quite remote oasis that is all about the 360 degree views. This home is a true experience that captures both the peaceful beauty and dramatic scenery of the Colorado Mountains.
